This listing is for the ENTIRE set of Silverware. Reed and Bartons CLASSIC ROSE pattern is a modern favorite; introduced in 1954, was designed by Theodore E. The handle is squared off and features a unique scrolled end.

The center design features a detailed rose with a long stem. CLASSIC ROSE has managed to remain in the spotlight throughout the years, and will be for many more.

The Reed & Barton story began in 1824, when Isaac Babbitt created a new metal alloy - "Britannia metal" - in his Taunton, Massachusetts pewter shop. Babbitt joined forces with craftsmen Henry G. Barton to produce this innovative, higher quality pewter ware. When Babbitt encountered financial difficulties, Reed & Barton offered to take control and began manufacturing products under their own names. The fledgling company's goods reflected uncompromising standards of excellence, starting with its initial silverplate products and extending to the exquisite sterling silver creations that resulted from the silver discoveries of the late 1800s.

The company has remained privately owned by the family of Henry Reed. Besides the flatware for which it is renowned, Reed & Barton operates other brands as well.

Reed & Barton maintains its headquarters in Taunton, Massachusetts, once known as "Silver City" because of the number of silver companies operating there. 7 Modern Hollow Knives w/ Stainless Blades 9 1/8. 7 Individual Salad Forks 6 5/8.

1 Sugar Spoons 6 1/8. 1 Cocktail/Seafood Forks 5 7/8. They are shiny, smooth and sit solid in your hand, as only heavier, solid silverware does.

Pieces are stamped "REED & BARTON STERLING CLASSIC ROSE" except the knives, which are also marked "MIRRORSTELE" (Reed & Bartons trade name for stainless steel) on their blades. These pieces were previously loved, thus there will be small scratches and signs of wear that in no way affect it's ability to perform just as well as an un-loved new set. These slight imperfections only add to the sets character.

If only small scratches could talk. Please inquire if you have any questions and enjoy every day!
