Likely a fish serving piece, the mythological dolphin figure represented on the blade and also the silver portion of the handle. The turned walnut handle unscrews easily for cleaning.Silversmith marks are there and appear to read "LB", possibly for but I can't be certain. A truly superb old French sterling silver serving piece, don't miss it! No dents, damage or repairs to the sterling silver blade.
