The origin of the business dates back to the Moulton family who settled in Newbury, Massachusetts (later Newburyport) at the end of the 18th century. Jones to form Towle & Jones, Co. In 1873, the son of Anthony Francis Towle, Edward Bass Towle, was added to the business, and the name was changed to A. In 1882, Anthony Francis Towle, while still owning A. Towle & Son, established the Towle Manufacturing Co. Towle, was acquired in 1990 by Syratech Corporation, a company which makes tabletop, giftware, and seasonal items. Its tabletop and giftware lines include sterling silver, silver-plated, and stainless steel flatware and hollowware under the Wallace Silversmiths, Towle Silversmiths, and International Silver Company brand names. 1 New French Hollow Knife w/ Stainless Blades 8 7/8. 1 Individual Salad Fork 6 3/8. 1 Round Bowl Soup Spoon 6 1/4. 1 Flat Handle Butter Spreader 5 3/4. They are shiny, smooth and sit solid in your hand, as only heavier, solid silverware does. Pieces are stamped "TOWLE STERLING Old Master" except the knives, which are also marked "STERLING HANDLE STAINLESS BLADE" on their blades.

These pieces were previously loved, thus there will be small scratches and signs of wear that in no way effect it's ability to perform just as well as an un-loved new set. These slight imperfections only add to the sets character. If only small scratches could talk.
