1890's sterling silver, hinged walnut compact/ needle case vinaigrette that was once worn on a chatelaine or as a pendant. On one side of the open walnut is a flip open mirror that once held a powder puff underneath. The other side has a flip out pin/ needle holder with an opening for a now missing small perfume bottle.

This piece has no markings but acid tests for sterling silver. This piece measures approximately 1.75" by 1.25" and weighs 21.3 grams.

It looks like there may possibly be a few places on the back of the mirror with an solder repair. This piece has tarnish, abrasions, wear to the gilt interior , some wear to the mirror, and other signs of overall age appropriate wear. Please note the green in some of the pictures is a reflection and not on the silver.
