Charming antique 19th century French sterling silver teapot by renown silversmith Pierre Quielle. Decorate in Louis XV styling with twisted fluted body accented with chased rocaille borders. Richly detailed rocaille and foliate embellished duck bill spout and superb solid casted finial comprising of a berry and leaf cluster. Monogrammed with interlaced initials EL or LE. Very finely crafted from the highest quality silver.

Fully hallmarked on the body, lid and base. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1 standard hallmark, depicting the profile of the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her designating a silver content of. 950/1000 95% pure silver and higher than the standard. He was one of the few silversmiths who made items for the famous House of Odiot, as he was known for his fine craftsmanship.
